Wooden Wine Holder with Dokra art
Dokra craft is an ancient craft with charming folk motifs, a rustic beauty, designs and patterns of highly creative mind. Traditionally, Dokra art originated from the Dhokra Damar Tribe who manufactures intricate pieces of art. Dokra art is one of the oldest forms of metal casting as it was started 4,500 years back in the times of Mohenjo-Daro. Dokra art pieces are made in an interesting manner. The craftsmen follow the traditional lost wax procedure. It starts with designing the clay and then layering it with wax, nut oil and resin. Wax is carved and the details are drawn again as the clay acts as a mould for the metal art pieces.
